La Vista Motel and El Piñon Host Halloween Party with DJ Ari, Costume Contest, and Haunted Stay Discount
Saturday, October 31 at La Vista Motel on East Colfax, with a free night’s stay for the top costume
DENVER, CO — La Vista Motel and El Piñon are throwing a Halloween party on Saturday, October 31, from 7 to 11 p.m. Entry is free, costumes are encouraged, and DJ Ari will be spinning records from open to close.
At 9:30 p.m., a staff-judged costume contest takes over the dance floor. Entering is free, and sign-up sheets will be available at the door and at the bar starting at 7 p.m. Entrants will each get a free drink ticket for their next visit to El Piñon, valid through the end of the year. Sign-ups close at 9 p.m., and each contestant will get a walk-up moment on the runway lane by the DJ booth. First place wins a one-night stay at La Vista Motel, and second place wins a gift card to El Piñon.
For partygoers who want to make a full weekend of it, La Vista is offering 20% off room stays from October 30 through November 1 with the code Haunted20. Rooms can be booked at lavistadenver.com.
“Halloween is a great excuse to get the neighborhood together,” said Nathan Beal, Owner of La Vista Motel. “We wanted a party that’s free and easy to jump into, whether you show up in a full costume or just come for the music. We can’t wait to see what people come up with for the contest.”
The celebration continues on Sunday, November 1 for Día de los Muertos, when El Piñon adds a classic margarita to its Sunday drink specials. The lineup is $6 mimosas, Bloody Marys, Bloody Marias, and now classic margaritas.
